My idea of exercise is a good brisk sit. ~ Phyllis Diller
I am tired. Exhausted. I have not been getting much sleep because my daughter wakes up every two to three hours to nurse. Then during the day I have four children and a house to take care of. This week I began my new home management notebook, where I detail my days listing what needs to be done (i.e., chores). I am trying this system because I have not been that great of a home manager. My house is often a mess, and I usually find that I cannot keep up with it. With my new home management system, I found myself doing more housework and cleaning. And while my bathrooms are definitely cleaner, I am worn out.
There is no doubt about it: a sparking, clean house is the environment I would love to be in. But scrubbing toilets and constantly doing dishes and sweeping the floors is the kind of busy work that leaves your body aching and too tired to exercise. And that doesn’t even include taking care of the kids!
I am concerned about where I am going to fit exercise in my schedule. Lack of energy is also a big issue. So two big challenges that I need to figure out by next week! That’s when my six-weeks of you-should-be-resting-because-you-just-had-a-baby time is officially up. And yes, I want my dream body back. Because I have had a dream body before, I know exactly what I need to do to get it again. But doing so requires a great deal of discipline and commitment. With the slew of interruptions I have on a daily basis, I am worried that I may not be able to do what I want to do.
