Did you know that leukemia (cancer of the blood or bone marrow) is the number one disease killer among children? What if you could do something to help find a cure? When you join Team in Training, you not only get in shape, your participation helps raise funds to help find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and all other blood cancers. Founded in 1988, Team in Training has grown to become the world’s largest endurance sport’s training program.
Join more than 40,000 people who walk, run, swim, hike, or ride a bike for a great cause. A certified coach trains you and your teammates encourage you, so what better way to get in shape than this?
How do you become a part of Team in Training? To sign up, you need to get to an information meeting or visit your local chapter’s office. Once you pay the registration fee, you’ll be assigned to a trainer and you will receive guidance on how to do a fundraiser. You will have a minimum amount to raise, and that amount depends on the event that you want to do. 75% of the funds you raise will go to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help find a cure, and the rest will go to cover your airline and hotel to attend the event that you will participate in!
Typing in your zip code here lets you know the local staff contacts and information meetings going on in your area. If there isn’t a local chapter near you, consider joining a virtual team.
